I simply could not think of a good name...

I was brewing beer one day and became stumped on what to call it. To share a glass with friends and not have a name for it is lame. To enter it in a homebrew competition and not have a name is ridiculous. So, I asked a professional brewer, who is a buddy of mine, where he came up with names for his beer. He said it was one of the toughest challenges of brewing and had no particular way of coming up with names. So, I looked around online and found nothing. Hence, I began this project of creating Beer Namer.

The site you're seeing now is v 1.0. With any luck at all, it is behaving well for you. If not, please let me know. Enhancements are already in the works and I'm very excited about what this site will evolve into in the coming months.

Thanks for visiting and I hope Beer Namer can be a great tool for you.

Cheers!

About me

Warren

I've been brewing for about 20 years now. I started with a kit from Williams Brewing that my wife gave me for Christmas. My first batch was perfect! Call it beginner's luck or just really good attention to the details, I was thrilled. And, I was hooked. Over the years I've accumulated more advanced equipment and improved my technique. I now brew about once every couple of months (when I'm not fishing) and have focused on clone recipes.

My latest brew is a Fat Tire clone. I strayed from the recipe a bit by using a Bavarian yeast, instead of a Belgian. The Belgian I pitched in didn't take so I got some fresh Bavarian from my brewmaster friend, Matt. It was so strong it nearly exploded! Nothing beats good, fresh yeast from a local brewery.
